Kaiser Permanente is seeking an LVN for outpatient care at Riverside Med Center in Riverside, California. The LVN provides nursing care under supervision, supports physicians and the health care team, and adheres to established policies and standards. Qualified candidates hold a California LVN license with BLS certification.

IV and Blood Withdrawal certifications are preferred. Schedule includes weekends, holidays, and floating within the seniority section.

Qualifications

• LVN licensure in California is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal certification preferred.
• Minimum 12 months LVN direct patient care within last 3 years.

Responsabilités

• Exhibits excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers; shows courtesy, compassion, and respect.
• Provides therapeutic patient care within the scope of practice as directed by physicians/advanced practice providers and/or a registered nurse.
• Transcribes orders and follows policy.
• Communicates with a registered nurse to update the care plan and assist in developing nursing care plans.
• Administers medications per provider orders and standing orders within scope of practice.
• Assists in examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and providing patient support.
• Documents patient condition and therapy responses; reports unusual findings promptly.
• Ensures cleanliness of nursing areas and safe operation of equipment.
• Participates in discharge coordination and back-office workflows.
