Job summary

KAISER in Riverside, California is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Outpatient Orthopedics. You will provide nursing care under supervision, assist physicians, and support patient flow and procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

Under supervision, you will perform venipuncture, IV therapy, specimen collection, and document in Health Connect. Requires CA LVN license, 12 months LVN experience, and BLS certification. Schedule includes rotating shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 12 months LVN direct patient care experience within the last 3 years.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational Nurse License (California) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits excellent patient relations and courtesy.
• Provides therapeutic patient care per physician/APP orders within the scope of practice.
• Transcribes orders and communicates plan of care with RNs.
• Administers medications per orders and standing orders.
• Assists during examinations and treatments with instruments and patient support.
• Documents patient status and responses to therapy in Health Connect.
• Supports discharge planning and patient education.
