Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii seeks an Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care in outpatient settings under RN supervision and practitioner orders. The role includes orienting and serving as a resource to LPN Clinic/Meds I as needed.

You will review medical records, administer treatments and immunizations, document care, coordinate with RNs and practitioners, and participate in vaccine management and infection control, ensuring age-appropriate, high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months (2080 hours) LPN experience.
• Hawaii State Board of Nursing approved curriculum for LPN licensure.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to adhere to infection control policies and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and prepares medical records for assigned patients and initiates follow-up.
• Administers treatments, immunizations and medications as prescribed; prepares medications for use.
• Documents interventions and patient responses using electronic records and standard forms.
• Coordinates with RNs/Practitioners to revise care plans as needed.
• Trains and supports unlicensed staff; ensures care is delivered per standards.
