Job summary

Inova Health, a leading nonprofit healthcare provider in Northern Virginia, seeks an Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join Inova Cardiology. This full-time, day shift role runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, working under the supervision of the RN and caring for patients in outpatient settings.

Required education and license include a Vocational/Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing and Virginia LPN licensure; BLS from the American Heart Association is also required.

Qualifications

Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Experience: 0 years of experience
Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees.
Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
