Job summary

Covenant Health in Tennessee is seeking a Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an outpatient clinic role. This full-time position covers 72 hours per pay period, daytime shifts, and works under the supervision of the attending provider and practice manager.

You will assess patients, assist with examinations and procedures, administer medications, triage calls, and maintain accurate medical records while upholding confidentiality and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an LPN in Tennessee and hold current BLS certification.
• Experience with outpatient clinical care and basic nursing procedures is preferred.
• Ability to document accurately in the medical record and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition, take vital signs and weight.
• Assist provider with examinations, procedures, phlebotomy, injections, suturing as needed.
• Administer medications per provider orders, ensuring correct dosage and documentation.
• Triage patient calls and schedule appointments.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and accurate medical records; ensure privacy and safety.
