Job summary

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• REQUIRED: 2+ years of experience in a licensed NYS Clinical Laboratory.
• REQUIRED: Proficient in data entry, specimen processing, computer use, and phlebotomy procedures.
• REQUIRED: Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, clients and management.
• REQUIRED: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• REQUIRED: Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• REQUIRED: Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of outpatient lab services to optimize patient flow and cycle times.
• Prepares staffing schedules and assigns work for outpatient client support and phlebotomy staff.
• Resolves client and patient issues promptly and professionally.
• Coordinates supplies and consumables for phlebotomy and couriers; manages inventory and requisitions.
• Ensures quality program management and compliance with regulations; monitors QA data.
