Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Outpatient Lab Coordinator to lead daily operations in the Bethesda North Hospital lab. You will train and supervise lab assistants and couriers, coordinate inter-department workflows, and drive quality and compliance initiatives to ensure smooth patient care.

You will collaborate with registration, radiology, patient accounting, and courier services to resolve issues, order tests via LIS/HIS, review QA records, and maintain inventory while supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal Phlebotomy training preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomist with 1–2 years of healthcare customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train lab assistants and couriers.
• Coordinate daily operations and workflow across departments.
• Edit time records and manage compliance education and safety training.
• Order tests using LIS/HIS and review test orders for accuracy.
• Maintain QA records and inventory.
