Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for a 100% outpatient role with flexible hours and no on-call duties. The group, physician-led with multiple Long Island locations, offers a highly competitive compensation package ($300K-$500K per year) and strong clinical/administrative support.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice is required.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider delivering high-quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret labs and other diagnostic tests.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, options and preventive strategies.
• Maintain thorough documentation within the EMR system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists and care teams for seamless patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists and support staff.
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS and payer guidelines.
• Participate in population health initiatives and support quality improvement projects.
• Contribute to development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with growth objectives.
