Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks an Internal Medicine Physician for a 100% outpatient practice on Long Island. Flexible hours, Monday-Friday, no on-call. Compensation ranges from $300K to $500K yearly, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

The physician will provide comprehensive care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in quality improvement. NY licensure or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Proven ability to establish and grow a local clinical practice.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice.
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
• Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
• Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
