Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for 100% outpatient care on Long Island. Flexible hours, Monday–Friday, no call, with a focus on comprehensive patient management.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with NY licensure or eligibility, board-certified in Internal Medicine, and a patient-centered approach. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to population health initiatives while growing a local practice.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active or eligible board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider in delivery of high-quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain thorough documentation within the EMR system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff.
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
• Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Contribute to development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with growth objectives.
