Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is assisting a well-established, physician-led group on Long Island in its search for an Internal Medicine Physician to join a 100% outpatient practice.

The role offers flexible hours, Monday-Friday, no on-call, with a compensation range of $300K-$500K per year, and opportunities for leadership within a collaborative care team.

Strong emphasis on patient-centered care, comprehensive exams, and EMR documentation to support high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with internal medicine board certification.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice is required.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice.
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
• Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
• Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
