Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health’s Outpatient Infusion team on Williamson Street is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse. In this role you will administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy, monitor responses, manage symptoms, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, patient-centered ambulatory care.

You will educate patients and families, provide telephone triage, maintain thorough documentation, and support a positive patient experience in a fast-paced infusion suite.

Qualifications

• Requires ADN and NJ RN license with BLS certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Oncology nursing and ambulatory care experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, symptom management, venous access care, patient education, and care coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, iron infusions, IV hydration, and other IV therapies per protocols.
• Administer blood products and injections while monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Monitor patients during treatment and address therapy responses and changes in condition.
• Provide symptom management and education to patients and families.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Provide telephone triage and coordinate timely clinical follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
