Job summary

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the General Surgery Division in an outpatient setting at the SRS La Mesa Clinic. The 0.5FTE half-time position requires 2–3 days per week and focuses on pre- and post-operative care and patient education.

The role supports evaluation and management of common general surgery conditions with collaboration from board-certified surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of full-time NP/PA experience in a general surgery setting required.
• Active, unrestricted California NP or PA license required.
• Current board certification in applicable specialty required.
• Must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• 0.5 FTE half-time, 2–3 days per week, outpatient setting.
• Evaluates and manages general surgery diagnoses (hernia, gallbladder disease, soft tissue masses, bariatric conditions).
• Provides pre- and post-operative care and patient education.
• Collaborates with general surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
