Job summary

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group in San Diego seeks a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Outpatient General Surgery team. This 1.0 FTE role focuses on evaluating and managing patients with common general surgery diagnoses, under the supervision of board-certified surgeons.

You will provide pre- and post-operative care, coordinate follow-up, and educate patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care at the SRS

Qualifications

• SRSMG is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery Division.
• Minimum two (2) years of full-time NP/PA experience in a general surgery setting required
• Procedural experience strongly preferred
• Active, unrestricted California NP or PA license required
• Current board certification in applicable specialty required
• Must be comfortable working independently

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and manages general surgery patients including hernias, gallbladder disease, soft tissue masses, and bariatric conditions.
• Provides comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, surgical follow-up, and patient education.
• Collaborates with board-certified general surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
