The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah, School of Medicine, seeks an Outpatient Services Specialist to join our front desk reception team at the Primary Children’s Outpatient Services Building. This role focuses on excellent customer service and accurate information flow between medical staff and departments to maximize unit efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• One year of office experience, customer service experience, or equivalency.
• Current, valid Utah driver’s license at time of hire in some areas.
• Must fulfill immunization requirements per CDC standards and hospital policy.

Aufgaben

• Completes the patient registration process by reviewing accounts and documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Enters corrected or new patient data into iCentra and EPIC systems.
• Prepares paperwork for patient visits.
• Communicates with patients, providers, and colleagues in a confidential, professional manner.
• Notifies patients and their families of co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance; collects co-payments.
• Schedules patient appointments; contacts patients for rescheduling and reminders; monitors patient flow and notifies clinical staff.
• Performs special projects and other clinical support duties as assigned.
