Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Staff Physician (IM/FM) for a 100% outpatient practice in Lost Hills/Delano, CA. Relocation assistance is available, with a compensation range of USD 240,000–270,000 per year.

The role focuses on preventive care, obesity, diabetes, and cardiometabolic health within a multidisciplinary team. MD or DO from an accredited medical school, CA licensure, DEA, and BLS are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred.
• Current California medical licensure or eligibility.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Experience providing outpatient primary care strongly preferred.
• Experience with obesity, diabetes and cardiometabolic conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based primary care, including preventive care and chronic disease management.
• Diagnose and manage obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and support patient health goals.
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and continuity.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, behavioral health, and other team members.
• Provide clinical guidance to care team and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Review data to identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up for timely access to care.
• Support onsite and community-based efforts to improve engagement and population health.
• Maintain timely medical documentation and comply with standards.
• Provide care in a 100% outpatient setting, about 16 patients per day, no evening/weekend call.
• Supervise and collaborate with non-physician providers.
