Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Staff Physician (IM/FM) for an onsite role in Lost Hills/Delano, CA. This full-time position focuses on evidence-based, outpatient care with emphasis on obesity, diabetes, and cardiometabolic health.

Relocation assistance is available. Expect about 16 patient visits daily, collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team, and competitive compensation in the $240k–$270k range plus benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred.
• Current or eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Experience providing outpatient primary care strongly preferred.
• Experience managing patients with obesity, diabetes, and other cardiometabolic conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality primary care in a 100% outpatient setting.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and partner with patients for sustainable health improvements.
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary clinical team for outcomes and continuity.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, behavioral health, and therapies.
• Provide clinical guidance to care team and participate in quality improvement.
• Maintain timely medical documentation and adhere to standards.
• See roughly 16 patients per day with no evening or weekend calls.
• Supervise non-physician providers as required.
