Savista seeks an experienced Outpatient Facility Coder II to code Same Day Surgery and Emergency Department encounters, review documentation, and ensure accurate billing. Key qualifications include an AHIMA or AAPC credential, 1+ year of SDS/ED coding experience, and strong ICD-10-CM & CPT/HCPCS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC coding credential.
• At least 1 year of outpatient facility coding experience, with SDS/ED focus.
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for SDS and ED.
• Code a variety of surgical, diagnostic, and ED services.
• Apply outpatient facility coding guidelines to ensure compliant coding.
• Validate APC assignments when applicable.
• Abstract required clinical and patient information from medical records.
• Stay current on ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, APC, NCCI and related guidelines.
• Meet productivity and quality targets (95%+).
• Participate in training and client meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with client teams on coding questions and documentation issues.
• Stay updated on coding changes and client requirements.
