Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an Onsite Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) in Merrionette Park, IL. No previous dialysis experience is required as on-the-job training is provided.

The role involves comprehensive patient care within the End Stage Kidney Disease team and supervision of care staff. As a key member of our facility, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, administer medications, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic patient data collection pre, during, and post hemodialysis and document in medical records.
• Direct and provide safe, effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document justification and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs and treatment options.
• Assist with emergency responses and participate in staff training.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for care planning and outcomes.
