Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP as a capstone step into clinical advancement. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, under supervision.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• 9 months RN experience and 3 months chronic/acute dialysis experience (preferred).
• Entry level for Nephrology Nursing in CAP track.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties under supervision and with guidance from educators and nurses.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; adjusts care plan accordingly.
• Educates patients and families on learning needs and treatment plans.
• Delivers dialysis therapy safely with the care team and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency response and quality improvement activities.
