Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States seeks an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP. This role supports the Clinical Advancement Program, coordinating care for an assigned patient group and guiding staff under supervision.

You will participate in education, decision-making, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations in an outpatient dialysis setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for hemodialysis patients.
• Documents patient data and adjusts treatment plans as needed in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and manages education plans with the care team.
• Administers medications per prescribed or approved algorithms and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Assists with emergency responses and supports staff training and orientation.

Skills

CPR BLS certification

Nephrology nursing (entry-level)

Dialysis experience (preferred)

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current state nursing licensure
