Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of dialysis patients, under supervision.

The role includes data collection, education, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will advance through CAP by meeting program requirements and contributing to positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry level RN with <2 years nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and plan, implement, and evaluate care for dialysis patients.
• Monitor patients during hemodialysis and adjust care per protocol.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with care team and delegate tasks to technicians as appropriate.
• Administer prescribed medications and respond to emergencies.
• Document care in the medical record and communicate with physicians.
• Support CAP advancement and participate in quality improvement activities.
