Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) at our Austell facility. The position provides care coordination, assessment, planning, and evaluation for an assigned patient group within the ESRD team.

As a CAP entrant, you will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities, and complete CAP requirements to advance.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; adjust the plan as needed.
Educate patients and families about learning needs and care.
Deliver safe, effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the health care team.
Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
Initiate emergency responses when required and participate in staff training.
Ensure proper lab collection and processing; update nursing assessment and care plan.
Discuss transplant and treatment modality options with patients.
Complete CAP requirements to advance within the program.
