Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP. The RN will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients during hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, under supervision.

You will participate in teaching and quality improvement as part of the ESKD care team, document in medical records, and ensure adherence to CAP requirements to advance.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Graduates of accredited nursing programs are eligible to apply.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients during hemodialysis.
• Assess, collect and document patient data pre-, during- and post-treatment; adjust care plan as needed.
• Document nursing assessments and plan of care in the patient record in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and according to approved algorithms; document effectiveness.
• Assist with emergencies and participate in staff training and orientation as assigned.
• Ensure proper lab specimen collection, processing, and timely shipping; reschedule missed collections.
