Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, assess needs, plan care, implement interventions and evaluate outcomes in the dialysis setting.

You will work under supervision, collaborate with RNs, technicians and other staff, and participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or other RNs.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during and after hemodialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts care plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and learning needs.
• Directs and provides safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers medications per protocol and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency response measures and staff training.
