Job summary

Legacy Rehabilitation and Living in Amarillo, TX seeks an Outpatient Coordinator and Therapy Rehab Tech to strengthen referral relationships, coordinate outpatient therapy, and assist therapists in a busy rehab department.

You will travel to meet physicians and community partners, manage schedules, transport clients when needed, and ensure clean, safe treatment areas throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience in marketing in healthcare is optional, but preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in SNF and/or home health.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective referral sources via face-to-face meetings with physicians, managers, and community members.
• Identify and market to local primary and specialty physicians to address outpatient therapy needs.
• Assist Director of Rehab with coordinating community events and campaigns.
• Manage outpatient therapy schedule to establish and maintain POC and coordinate with therapists for missed visits.
• Assist Therapists and Therapists Assistants; ensure safe patient transportation.
• Set up and clean up patients and equipment; daily treatment area cleaning.
• Report patient concerns to DOR and supervising therapist; obtain basic medical data (BP, HR, O2 sat).

Legacy Rehabilitation and Living of Amarillo, TX, is seeking a passionate candidate to serve as our Outpatient Coordinator and Therapy Rehab Tech. As Outpatient Coordinator you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with current and prospective outpatient referral sources by completing face-to-face meetings with physicians, office managers, referral coordinators, and individuals in the community. You will educate these individuals on the services our facility offers, discuss patient care, referrals, and thank them for existing referrals. As a Therapy Rehab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting Therapists and Therapist Assistants, equipment set-up/clean-up, collecting basic medical data, patient transportation, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective referral sources by completing face-to-face meetings with physicians, office managers, referral coordinators, and individuals in the community.
• Identify and market to local primary and specialty physicians to address their patient's outpatient therapy needs.
• Assist the Director of Rehab with coordinating community events, public relations campaigns, or specialty marketing campaigns
• Manage outpatient therapy schedule to establish and maintain POC as well as coordinate with other therapists to reschedule any missed visits.
• Responsible for assisting the Therapists and Therapists Assistants
• Responsible for safe and efficient patient transportation
• Responsible for patient and equipment set up / clean up
• Daily cleaning of treatment area and equipment
• Reports any patient concerns or issues to DOR and/or supervising therapist.
• Able to obtain basic medical information (blood pressure, heart rate, O2 saturations, etc.)

Requirements:
