Job summary

Lifepoint Behavioral Health, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Outpatient Coordinator for Ottumwa Regional Medical Center. This full-time position supports admission processes, pre-admission paperwork, patient assessments, and scheduling of therapeutic activities to aid clinicians and patients alike.

You will coordinate with teams, maintain therapeutic tool inventories, and assist with charge reconciliation while upholding Lifepoint’s commitment to compassionate, community-focused care.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license.
• Certifications: CPR certification and CPI within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• Experience: Previous experience on an inpatient unit preferred. Must have experience with clerical duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and completes necessary audits for patient care tracking. Handles all aspects of the admission process.
• Supports in the completion of pre-admission paperwork as applicable.
• Supports in the tracking and collection of required assessments and survey.
• Maintains supply of therapeutic tools such as worksheets, videos, and games for clinician use. Per the therapist dictation maintains the programming schedule.
• Supports with charge reconciliation and entering as required.
• Supports team with patient group assignments and coordination efforts.
