Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Inpatient Behavioral Health. This full-time role requires 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm-7:00am), focusing on delivering evidence-based behavioral health services.

Qualified candidates will hold a current RN license and have an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing with experience in acute care preferred. A commitment bonus of $15,000 is offered for a two-year commitment.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Behavioral Health

Commitment Bonus: $15,000 (2 Years). Schedule: 12‑hour shifts, full‑time nights (7:00pm‑7:00am).

Ottumwa Regional Health Center, part of Lifepoint Health, offers high‑quality, evidence‑based behavioral health services in a 14‑bed unit that provides 24/7 supervised mental health treatment and crisis support for adults 18+ with a wide range of concerns, including co‑occurring substance use.

How you'll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.

Qualifications
