Job summary

Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine is seeking an outpatient Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with CARE-focused patient care and administrative duties in a busy clinic.

The role requires CMA or RMA certification and completion of an accredited medical assisting program. Travel may be required; excellent teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification required; national certifying boards accepted (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, AMCA).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and clinical support in ambulatory/outpatient setting.
• Performs clinical duties: preparing patients, taking vitals, reviewing information, and assisting with procedures.
• Documents in EMR, schedules appointments, handles billing inquiries, and maintains patient safety and privacy.
