Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Certification by NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and clinical support for physicians in outpatient setting.
• Performs clinical duties: patient prep, vitals, documentation in EMR, rooming.
• Provides administrative and clerical support: scheduling, filing, billing inquiries.
• Set up examination and treatment rooms between cases.
• Assists with patient safety, privacy, and provider-directed procedures.
• Performs phlebotomy and basic lab specimen handling under supervision.
