Job summary

Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our ambulatory care team. You will support providers by documenting patient information, preparing examination rooms, and delivering direct patient care under supervision.

The role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a 40-hour work week, and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must have CMA or RMA certification and graduate from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Certification by one of the listed governing associations: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.
• Ambulatory/clinical setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient data (reason for visit, weight, vital signs, meds) using EMR rooming tools.
• Set up examination and treatment rooms between patients.
• Assist patient to prepare for visit, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Provide direct patient care as directed, including EKGs, wound care, and minor procedures.
