Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to support the Pharmacy Manager in daily operations and shape workflows, processes, and patient care standards for a growing program.

You’ll partner closely with pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, seamless patient experiences and contribute to a collaborative, adaptive team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (education verified).
• License to practice pharmacy in state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state/federal regulations governing practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medication orders for allergies, duplications, appropriateness, and interactions; intervenes to optimize therapy.
• Oversees preparation and delivery of medications to care areas; ensures secure storage and workflow.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes education and adherence.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and support staff; offers clinical consultation to health professionals.
• Takes initiative to solve problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care.
