Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support a decentralized, patient-centered care model in the outpatient setting. You will interview patients, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, and input data into the medical record under physician supervision.

Strong computer skills are required; ongoing competencies and BLS certification are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• AMT/AAMA/NHA/NAHP/MedCA CMA/CCMA CMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records inputs to the patient’s medical record.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination and assists under physician supervision.
