MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support a decentralized patient-centered care model. You will interview patients, measure vitals, and input data into medical records under physician direction.

Prepare examination rooms and maintain essential competencies and communication. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Must be certified through AMT/AAMA/NHA/MedCA as CCMA/CMA or NAHP.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records inputs into the medical record.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Demonstrates basic computer skills and maintains annual competencies.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
