Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Outpatient CDS/Coder to join Valleywise Health’s CDI team in a hybrid role doubling as a production coder. You will expand into CDI while continuing to code, reviewing documentation and educating providers.

Required three years of outpatient coding experience, an HIT-related degree, and CCS/CCS-P/COC/CPC credentials. EHR and encoder proficiency, plus travel to clinics as needed, are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in HIT or equivalent combination of training and experience in place of HIT degree.
• Three years of experience coding in a primary care provider's office or facility-based provider clinic for internal medicine/family practice.
• Must possess CCS, CCS-P, COC, or CPC certification.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Experience with EHR, Encoder, and Microsoft Office software.
• Prefers EPIC and 3M Encoder Software Systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform production coding while expanding into CDI through clinical documentation review and compliant query generation.
• Contribute to provider education, risk adjustment, and documentation improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCC reporting guidelines.
• Demonstrate strong communication with physicians and ambulatory clinic staff.
