Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking an experienced Imaging Intake Scheduler to join our patient access team. You will supervise the intake crew, schedule imaging exams, verify benefits, and secure pre-authorizations, ensuring accurate pre-registration and timely patient flow.

In this day-shift role, you will build relationships with referring physicians, deliver outstanding service, and balance workload with leadership presence during peak times.

Qualifications

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills are required.
• Strong computer skills including MS Windows and MS Office.
• Understanding of Health Insurance Authorization processes.
• Familiarity with radiologic procedures, terminology and modality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participates in customer service workshops and seminars and completes required competencies.
• Builds and maintains relationships with referring physicians through high-quality service.
• Leads the intake team responsible for scheduling, benefits verification, pre-authorization and pre-certification of imaging exams.
• Supervises other intake staff and provides guidance on training and performance.
• Acts as a seasoned scheduler during peak times, creates patient accounts and pre-registers patients.
