Job summary

Cardiovascular Medicine in Davenport, IA is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for outpatient care in general cardiology or electrophysiology. The role offers a Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no hospital rounding or on-call duties, and provides mentorship from an experienced team.

You will evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients, perform initial assessments, order tests, collaborate with cardiologists, and contribute to ongoing care plans.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
• Active Iowa license or ability to obtain before start.
• New graduates welcome; cardiology/EP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Order and review EKGs, labs, imaging, and stress tests.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and APPs on treatment planning.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Develop EP expertise for interested APPs and maintain EMR documentation.
