Job summary

Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM) in Davenport, IA, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient cardiology team. The role can focus on General Cardiology or Electrophysiology (EP) based on experience and interests.

The position is 100% outpatient with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, no hospital rounding, no call, no weekends, and no holiday coverage. You will work with 25+ cardiologists and APPs in a well-established practice.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Iowa license or ability to obtain licensure prior to starting.
• Interest in General Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in the outpatient setting.
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Order and review EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, stress testing, and other cardiovascular diagnostics.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and cardiovascular risk reduction.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the clinical team.
• Develop additional specialty expertise for providers pursuing an EP-focused role.

Electrophysiology (EP)

Interested in specializing?

Work alongside electrophysiologists caring for patients with arrhythmias and cardiac rhythm disorders while developing expertise in this growing area of cardiovascular medicine.
