Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Heart Vascular and Thoracic Institute seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Electrophysiology team in an outpatient capacity. Strong cardiology/EP background preferred; new grads with cardiology training may be considered.

Schedule is 4x10s, 7am-5:30pm, with flexibility for organizational needs. The role emphasizes health promotion, diagnosis and treatment of acute/chronic conditions, and education within a collaborative multi-disciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Cardiology & Electrophysiology background is strongly preferred but is open to new graduates with cardiology background or training.
• MSN is required upon hire or within 3 years and must be APRN.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program and licensed as an NP in applicable state(s).

Responsibilities

• Take thorough histories and perform exams to establish diagnoses and treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Perform and interpret routine diagnostic procedures and tests as credentialed and privileged by hospital policy.
• Prescribe and monitor medications within licensure and clinic policies.
• Educate patients about disease, treatments, and medications and discuss potential side effects.
• Participate in medical rounds and coordinate with nursing and other health team members.
