Job summary

Davenport, IA-based outpatient cardiology role with Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM), a partner practice of CVAUSA. You will join a team of cardiologists and APPs, focusing on General Cardiology or Electrophysiology (EP) with a 100% outpatient schedule.

New graduates welcome. Expect a Monday–Friday daytime work pattern with no hospital rounding, no call, no weekends, and no holiday coverage, with strong physician support and opportunities to develop EP expertise.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Iowa license or ability to obtain licensure prior to starting.
• Interest in General Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology.
• New graduate NPs and PAs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in the outpatient setting.
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Order and review EKGs, lab tests, imaging, stress testing, and other diagnostics.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses, and the clinical team.
• Develop additional specialty expertise for EP-focused providers.

Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established outpatient cardiology team in Davenport, Iowa.

This opportunity can be tailored toward General Cardiology or Electrophysiology (EP) based on your experience and clinical interests. Whether you're an experienced cardiology APP, interested in developing specialized EP expertise, or a new graduate looking for the right environment to begin your career, you'll work alongside an experienced team of cardiologists and APPs with the support to continue developing your skills.

General Cardiology

Build broad cardiovascular experience managing patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. You’ll participate in new patient evaluations, follow-up care, medication management, cardiovascular risk reduction, and long-term disease management while collaborating closely with our cardiologists.

Electrophysiology (EP)

Interested in specializing?

Work alongside electrophysiologists caring for patients with arrhythmias and cardiac rhythm disorders while developing expertise in this growing area of cardiovascular medicine.

Previous EP experience is not required. We welcome APPs who are genuinely interested in learning the specialty.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will vary depending on your General Cardiology or EP focus and may include:

• Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in the outpatient setting

• Develop additional specialty expertise for providers pursuing an EP-focused role

What We’re Looking For

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Active Iowa license or ability to obtain licensure prior to starting

• Interest in General Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology

• Previous cardiology, EP, or outpatient experience is valued but not required

• New graduate NPs and PAs are encouraged to apply

• Strong communication and clinical skills

• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care
