Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Cardiology team supporting EP and Interventional Cardiology services. You will work in a collaborative, high-acuity specialty practice with an experienced APP team in a hospital and clinic setting.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, rounding and consultation, and a strong team-based model within a facility serving Waterloo, Cedar Falls and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP/AGNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Eligible for Iowa licensure
• Cardiology experience preferred; strong acute care or internal medicine backgrounds encouraged

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in clinic and hospital settings
• Support Electrophysiology (EP) and Interventional Cardiology services including arrhythmia management, post-procedure care, and heart disease management
• Perform rounding, consults, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators
• Educate patients on treatment plans and lifestyle modifications
