Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM seeks a full-time Outpatient Admitting Clerk to support the Admitting department. You will assist with patient registration, verify insurance, and explain financial options to patients with a focus on accuracy and service.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment on day shifts from Monday to Friday. Experience in healthcare admissions is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of admissions, customer service and/or public relations experience.
• 1-2 years of healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately in the registration system with required signatures.
• Verifies insurance coverage and explains ABNs and billing details to patients.
• Counsels self-pay patients on costs, options, and resources.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information professionally.
• Keeps logs of valuables and assists with bed assignments and phone duties.
