Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical insurance experience.
• Preferred: prior medical office experience.
• Basic work processing, orders, spreadsheets and EMR experience.
• Pass Employee Health Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and assembles demographic paperwork for patient.
• Confidentially verify information already on file, including emergency numbers and insurance information to complete registration.
• Register patients in Cerner with ACCESS Management or FIRSTNET applications ensuring audits for quality.
• Distributes hospital literature; ensure consents are signed prior to treatment.
• Provide information to patient/representative about billing, privacy notices, and patient rights.
• Review WORK-QUEUE in ACCESS Management for quality errors daily.
• Comply with department standards and Three Crosses values.
