Job summary

Omni Hotel & Resorts is seeking a courteous Outlet Server for Omni Interlocken to ensure warm, seamless service. You will greet guests, describe menu items, take orders and work with the kitchen and beverage team to deliver memorable experiences.

The role requires at least 1 year of serving experience, knowledge of wine and beverages, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include health options, paid leave, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

Hotel Restaurant Outlet Server

Salary for this position is (based on experience): $12.14/hour plus gratuities. Omni Interlocken reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allegories, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for the restaurant as needed.
• Crosstrain among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of serving experience, preferably in high volume and casual environment or part of an upscale hotel restaurant outlet.
• Must adhere and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
• Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TIPS alcohol certification obtained upon hire.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• Must have OPEN availability and must be able to work ALL Holidays.
