Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana, Inc. is hiring a Product Specialist for the Outlet Shop in Indianapolis. This full-time role identifies high-value items for our eCommerce facility and supports outlet leaders in achieving site goals.

Duties include cashiering, bin rotation, furniture moving, donation processing, and delivering strong customer service. The environment is production- and safety-focused with daily quotas. Hours are 7:00 am–7:30 pm Mon–Sat and 11:00 am–7:30 pm Sun.

Responsibilities

• Searches blue bins to identify high-quality merchandise.
• Processes items selected out of bins for eCommerce.
• Sets up glass case displays and creates arrangements to promote sales.
• Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise for glass case.
• Records all items selected for glass case and eCommerce on the inventory control log.
• Answers customers' questions concerning location, price, and use of the merchandise.
• Manages the key to enter and exit Shopgoodwill Cage.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area; cleans the area, restrooms, and sale floor, including mopping, as needed.
• Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
• Assists with rotation of commodity bins on the sales floor.
• Exhibits willingness to cross-train in various outlet functions.
• In absence of the Donation Attendant, accepts donations from customers and educates customers on promotions.
• Rings up customer orders, maintains a balanced drawer, and follows cash handling procedures.
• Provides information about Goodwill programs to educate customers.
• Directs higher-level questions to the appropriate associate or manager.
• Safely moves priced and tagged furniture to the sales floor and arranges it.
• Assists with customer furniture carry-out requests.
• Meets daily production/quality quotas and updates production sheets.
