Job summary

JB Duke Hotel in Durham, NC is seeking a Restaurant Server/Bartender to deliver upscale service. You will serve as a knowledgeable server and skilled bartender, welcome guests, present menus, take orders, craft beverages, and deliver thoughtfully prepared food with professionalism.

Prior experience in fine dining or upscale service is preferred, but passion for hospitality, strong communication, and attention to detail are essential. Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

In this dual-role position, you’ll deliver exceptional service in an upscale dining environment, serving as both a knowledgeable server and skilled bartender. You’ll warmly welcome guests, present menus, take orders, craft and serve beverages, and deliver thoughtfully prepared food with professionalism and care.

This role calls for someone who excels in guest interaction, can confidently make menu and beverage recommendations, and maintains a polished, attentive dining experience from start to finish. Prior experience in fine dining, bartending, or upscale service is preferred, but a genuine passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.

QualificationsRequired Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
