Job summary

The Copper River Family of Companies is hiring an Outfitter responsible for assembling and outfitting new vessels. This position entails installing parts, hardware, and accessories as part of the manufacturing process.

Candidates are expected to have a high school diploma or GED and preferably recent experience in marine systems assembly. Comprehensive benefits including medical and retirement plans are offered to full-time associates.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Recent experience outfitting and assembling vessels or similar systems preferred.
• Installing outboard or inboard motors appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and outfit newly manufactured vessels.
• Install all parts, equipment, components, and accessories.
• Perform inspections of assemblies.

Skills

Assembling/testing of parts using drawings

Point-to-point wiring

Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods

Using common hand and power tools

Familiarity with mechanical assemblies

Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge

Job description

ReconCraft is seeking an Outfitter to be responsible for assembling and outfitting newly manufactured vessels. Duties include installation of all parts, equipment, components, hardware, and accessories as part of a vessel manufacturing production line.

Responsibilities

(include but are not limited):

• Assembling/testing of parts using drawings and bills of material
• Point-to-point wiring
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods including crimping and soldering
• Using common hand and power tools
• Familiarity with mechanical assemblies
• Following documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and ensuring proper function of parts
• Measurements with calipers, tape measures, various gauges, and other devices
• Performing minor adjustments to tools and equipment
• Inspection of assemblies

Requirements

• Education:
  • High school graduate or GED
• Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • Valid driver's license
• Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
  • Recent experience outfitting and assembling vessels or similar systems
  • Installing outboard and inboard motors
  • Installing waterjets, stern drives, and other similar propulsion systems
  • Installing marine electronics
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • ABYC certifications are a bonus
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
  • This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity
  • Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks
