ReconCraft is seeking a Fabricator to perform fabrication to manufacture vessels and related components. Duties include preparing, assembling, and welding parts per specifications and drawings.

The role involves welding with GMAW/GTAW on aluminum and steel, reading blueprints, fabricating sub-assemblies, and operating cranes and forklifts. A strong safety focus and good physical condition are required.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Aluminum welding and fabrication experience.
• Must pass welding and fabrication testing on site.
• Fabricating aluminum vessels components is a plus.
• Interpreting blueprints and weld symbols is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare weldments using saws, routers, grinders, cutting tools, and hand tools.
• Interpret blueprints and weld schedules to lay out patterns.
• Fabricate sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks, and cabins.
• Secure parts for assembly and welding.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a neat, safe fabrication area.

ReconCraft is seeking aFabricator to be responsible for all manners of fabrication to manufacture new vessels and related components. Duties include preparing, assembling, and welding all components to create a final assembly or sub-assembly based on specifications and/or drawings.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Operate welding equipment using appropriate GMAW and GTAW techniques to weld aluminum and steel sheet, plate, and extrusion in all positions
• Prepare weldments using tools such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tools, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade
• Basic interpretation of blueprints, drawings, weld symbols and schedules to lay out patterns on material
• Perform welding in the fabrication phase of construction, including the pre-fabrication of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks, and cabins using jigs and fixtures
• Secure small parts for assembly and welding
• Perform operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and other fabrication equipment
• Maintain a professional, neat, and secure fabrication area

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school graduate or GED
• Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Aluminum welding and fabrication experience
  • Must pass the Welding and Fabrication testing given on site
• Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
  • Fabricating and assembling aluminum vessels and/or aluminum vessel components
  • Interpreting blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and weld schedules
  • Operating forklifts with certification
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
  • This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity
  • Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks

Position Pay Range

$24.55 - $39.98 USD
