Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Associate to perform trailer moves in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support transportation operations in Alabama. You may train for CDL and work with various CMVs to ensure timely trailer turnover and safety in the yard.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds with long shifts. OT and flexible schedules are common.

Qualifications

HOLD a valid and active driver’s license.
High School or equivalent diploma.
Candidates must be 21 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines in English.
Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and ascend/descend stairs.
Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Make safety a priority by adhering to company rules and regulations.
Perform yard duties to ensure trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects.
Operate CMVs on yard/non-public roads as required.
Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
Complete vehicle inspection reports and notify maintenance of issues.
