Job summary

Amazon is hiring Transportation Associates to manage trailer moves in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support the transportation network. You will operate CMVs, complete inspections, and follow DOT regulations while ensuring safety and on-time deliveries.

Candidates must have a valid license, be 21+, and be able to lift up to 49 lb with endurance for long shifts. Training for CDL may be provided, with potential sponsorship, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver’s license.
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• Candidates must be 21 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines in English.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and ascend/descend stairs.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer moves in the yard and coordinate yard activities to ensure on-time trailer arrivals/departures.
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or in yard per training and policy.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and notify management of issues.
• Follow schedules, track working hours/breaks, and comply with safety policies and regulations.
• Assist site operations teams and carriers to maintain workflow and safety in the yard.
